The China international Business Program CIBP is ideal for anyone interested in getting to know the Chinese culture and business environment, or just looking for new experiences. Handling a wide range of topics, the courses are aimed at all university- and college-level students (or people with a similiar background) - no matter whether one’s major is marketing, industrial engineering, political science, law or biology.

You may apply anytime, for either the fall or spring term. It’s possible to apply together with your partner or even in a group
Courses are given in English by professors from well-known international universities. The course schedules also allow traveling.
The Chinese international Business Program CIBP will take place in Sichuan university, which is located in the city of Chengdu.
Sichuan University (SCU) is a major Chinese university. It has the widest coverage of disciplines and the largest scale of operation in West China and it offers e.g. 178 different Master programs. SCU has a current student population of more than 70 thousand. Its current total staff is 11,357, of whon whom 969 are professors and 2192 are associate professors. The University consists of 3 Campuses of Wangjiang, Huaxi and Jiang’an, covering an area of over 4.7 kmē, with a total floorage of more than 2.7 million square meters.
The CIBP program will consist of 5 courses, each worth of 6 ECTS credits. The courses are likely to cover topics like The Chinese Business Environment, International Business, Marketing and Management. Detailed course information will be available by the end of December.
The semester will begin with an orientation day on Thursday 18th of September 2008 and it will end on Friday 19th of December 2008. (Changes on the dates are possible.)
The tuition fee for the semester is 2.500€. 200€ will have to be paid upon registration and the remaining 2.300€ will be paid one month before the beginning of the semester.

The culturally and historically noticeable city Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province and it is the fifth most populous city in China. It is also one of the most important economic centers and transportation and communication hubs in China.
Chengdu is situated in the Sichuan province in the southwest China. The climate is mild and humid. The winter is short but there are a few periods of frost each winter. The summer is longer. Daytime highs are on average 10C in January and 30C in July.
Chengdu is the gateway of West China since it has several key industries and markets of China. It has long been the capital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and it is established as a national base for electronic and IT industry. Several key national electronic R&D institutes are located in Chengdu. Also multinationals like Intel, IBM, NOKIA, Motorola, SAP, and Microsoft have their presence there.
Paper currency was invented in Chengdu in the year 1023 and today Chengdu is fast becoming to be the financial hub for West China. It has successfully attracted major international financial institutions like Citigroup, HSBC, ABN AMRO, and BNP Paribas.
The sometimes spicy Chengdu's cuisine is considered to be one of the most outstanding in China. Chengdu has been called the party city of China because it outnumbers Shanghai in the number of tea houses and bars. The inhabitants have a reputation for having a laid back attitude and for knowing how to enjoy life.
